Li Yi Feng joins Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen in Upcoming Romantic Comedy Movie Love Phobia

No sooner have I discovered my newest beloved (that would be Li Yi Feng *ahem, MINE*), it would appear that 2011 is turning out to be a breakthrough year for him. No surprise, since he’s an ’87er, and I’ve recently discovered that some of my fave younger generation actors are all ’87ers, and 2011 is their root life year (rabbity cuteness galore). Back to Li Yi Feng, who is coming off a stellar performance in Sunny Happiness and, it turns out, just finished filming an upcoming romantic comedy movie with Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen called Love Phobia (戀愛恐慌症).

Love Phobia wrapped filming in January and is currently in post-production, with a scheduled release date in Taiwan in August 2011. Li Yi Feng plays the second male lead, and the cause of our heroine’s love phobia. The movie is about a girl who gets her heart irrevocably broken by her high school boyfriend (my Feng Feng as a bad boy? oh hells yes!), and swears off love forever. Years later, she’s working at a hospital when she encounters this seemingly perfect male doctor played by Bolin Chen. She sets out to prove to the ladies that he’s no good, and ends up discovering that he may just be the right guy to cure her love phobia.

What can I say? This movie sounds like a frothy, cute, and harmless little romantic comedy that’s breezy and fun. The stills make it look adorably slapstick. The director is a Hollywood-based Chinese-American director who specializes in shooting short films and athletic sports commercials, and he brought many of his own Hollywood-based production crew. All in all, Ariel+Li Yi Feng (sorry Bolin, I know you’re the male lead and all) is so much win I’ve been squealing like a stuck pig all day. Check out tons of BTS production stills and join me in happily anticipating its Summertime release.

My Feng Feng is supposed to be high school aspiring wannabe rock star, and just look at his ridiculous hair! And why is he still so perfect? I don’t know, it’s like the mystery of the origins of the universe.

Oh my goodness, the hair! And the clothes! But I love it so. I can’t wait to see my badass hottie in this. Maybe we should also grab a box of tissues with the popcorn and drinks in case we drool too much while we’re watching this. Oh, and maybe alert the hospitals in our neighborhood in case we go into hyperventilation from all the spazzing. Better prepared than not, right?

This will be awesome. And yay for LYF NOT being five million years younger than me…depending on when in ’87 he was born, it could be just a few months! ~happy dance~ By last year was my root year and why did nothing good happen to me? I don’t want to wait another 12 years…bah.

Oh well. This movie does look adorable and cute, and I love Ariel. ^_^

Oh, by the way unni, you ARE going to tell us when the Chinese version of SH’s wedding night airs, right? ^_~

  4. D says:

so this is a movie?!…i thought she was doing a drama with Bolin Chen?…I think my sources got somethings mixed up

    • D says:

or is there a drama and a movie?….*so confused*

    • ockoala says:

      She’s doing both!

Ariel and Bolin filmed Love Phobia first, and next month SETTV starts shooting I May Not Love You, a TW-drama with Ariel and Bolin.

So they have two projects together that will be released this year.

I love that cute boob on Ariel. I miss Ariel so much and she’s been away fr my screen for TOOOOO long!

LYF, is cute, but I need more to confirm a full blown crush and maybe this will do it!

  10. Anvesha says:

I wanna see this just to watch Yi Feng act a full-blown bad boy, especially with that hair.. Otherwise I don’t like main leads enough to watch it..

  11. doozy says:

Thanks for this news on L!Y!F!, ockoala! I hope that this will be his year to shine as well.

  12. Emma says:

hmm, I will only support the movie for LYF….Ariel looks so weird with the fake hair!!! It suit rainne but look funny on her…Sorry Ariel, I still prefer you in They love Again….

  13. Roxyalso says:

Ariel seems so cute because she isn’t cookie cutter perfect. I wonder if she is wearing a wig. Now days it is hard to tell. She is a cool lead lady. Both males, are a good choice as her counterparts in the movie.
