Hammer Session with Hayami Mokomichi

Two prisoners manages to escape after the police convey transporting them crashes. One of them is a gangster. The other is Otowa Yonka – our protagonist – a con artist whose cheats money from criminals or terrorists, who becomes the new teacher for the nearby high school, using the new name Hachisuka Goro, under to a deal of “Hammer Session” with the headmaster to whip the students into shape.

Hammer Session is the summer offering from TBS that stars Hayami Mokomichi as the swindler posing as a high school teacher. It’s yet another J-school drama and yet another manga-adaptation. This time the story is a pure cross between Dragon Zakura and Kurosagi, with Mokomichi playing both Abe Hiroshi and YamaPi’s characters, respectively.

The drama doesn’t look terribly awesome, but darn if Mokomichi doesn’t look smoking hot and adorkable at the same time. Since it’s a lazy Friday, just posting some cute pics of Moko for everyone, and introducing a fluffly J-dorama to check out if you’re interested.

Mokomichi does, however, look nearly identical to C-actor Huang Xiao Ming in this drama. I could barely concentrate on the story in episode 1 because I kept thinking “Why does Moko look like someone so familiar?” and racking my brain until I made the connection. He has the same HXM smirk, the same HXM flirty-sleazy vibe, the same smoothness. Heh, it feels like dramaverses colliding. I also have the crazy sensation that MC Hammer will suddenly pop out in his palazzo pants to breakdance.
